Marketing Communications Project

Challenge
Revise a services Organization marketing newsletter so that it reaches and speaks to its targeted audience.

Strategy
• Discussed goals and objectives for the existing piece with Organization’s leadership.
• Surveyed existing and potential audience to gather intelligence as to the value of the product
and readership comprehension of this technical material.

• Evaluated the existing newsletter articles and developed guidelines to eliminate technical jargon
and make it reader friendly.
• Presented survey findings and plan for new and improved material that provided reader-friendly and
timely news material.
• Rolled out a new publication with new image brand that was customized by region to existing audience
of clients and targets; and furthered the readership to the Organization’s colleagues and targeted media.

Result
The revised publication led to the Organization gaining more visibility by clients and targets, colleagues and
media. It was further leveraged as an ongoing sales and marketing tool for recruiting, trade shows
and corporate events.
